Description

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners will be accepting sealed bids for renovations to the Historic Braselton Gym until Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM. At that time, the sealed bids will be opened and read in the Finance Department Conference Room of the Jackson County Administrative Building at 4965 Jackson Parkway, Jefferson, Georgia 30549. Bids received after the due date and time will not be accepted or considered. One original and three copies of the bid must be submitted. A 5% bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required if the contract is awarded. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Historic Braselton Gym, located behind the new charter school building off Highway 53 at the intersection of on Henry and Harrison Streets 4829 Highway 53 Braselton, GA 30517, at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Interested vendors are required to attend. All interested vendors must download the bid package and forms from the Jackson County web site or at www.vendorregistry.com. Contact person is Kenneth Morris, Purchasing Manager, at 706-367-6309. Jackson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities or irregularities, and to award the bid based on the highest and best interest of Jackson County.

3. Installation of new piping systems including black steel pipe, galvanized steel pipe, copper tube, hubless cast-iron soil pipe, and plastic pipes for various services as detailed in Section 220310 - Plumbing Pipe, Tube and Fittings.
4. Provision of all necessary fittings and valves as per specifications.
5. Coordination with other trades to ensure seamless integration of plumbing work with existing structures.
6. Installation of identification systems for plumbing components as specified in Section 220230 - Plumbing Identification.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period extending until July 1, 2025. Specific timelines for various phases of construction will be determined post-award.
