The Jackson County Board of Commissioners will be accepting sealed bids to replace the HVAC unit at the Gordon Street Gym located 441 Gordon Street, Jefferson, GA 30549, until Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM. At that time, the sealed bids will be opened and read in the Finance Department Conference Room of the Jackson County Administrative Building at 4965 Jackson Parkway, Jefferson, Georgia 30549. Bids received after the due date and time will not be accepted or considered. One original of the Request for Bid must be submitted. A 5% bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required if the contract is awarded. All interested bidders must download the bid package and bid form from the Jackson County web site or at www.vendorregistrycom Contact person is Kenneth Morris, Purchasing Manager, at 706-367-6309. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the Gordon Street Gym located 441 Gordon Street, Jefferson, GA 30549, at 10:00 AM on May 21, 2025. Prospective bidders should meet at 10 AM outside of the Gym entrance. Bidders who do not attend will not be considered. Jackson County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any technicalities or irregularities, and to award the bid based on the highest and best interest of Jackson County.

3. Installation of new gas piping connecting to existing systems as per drawings.
4. Electrical work including demolition/removal of existing wiring and installation of a new 208V/3-Phase, 200A/3-Pole breaker in the main switchboard, along with new disconnects for each GRTU.
5. Structural modifications to install platforms for the new rooftop units.
6. Provision of as-built drawings upon completion.

Period of Performance
The construction is expected to be completed within a 30 calendar day period, starting from when the longest lead item is available on-site.

Bidder Requirements
