Jackson County 4H Extension Building Roof

Background
The Jackson County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals for the replacement of the roofing at the County 4H Extension Building located at 164 Four Fifty Seven Drive, Jefferson, GA. The project aims to enhance the building's structural integrity and ensure its longevity. The County is committed to maintaining high standards in public facilities and seeks qualified General and Roofing Contractors to manage this project effectively.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of approximately 11,400 square feet of the existing roof system, including insulation. An add alternate is available for an additional approximately 7,000 square feet of roofing. The contractor will also be responsible for the removal and disposal of abandoned rooftop equipment. All work must comply with specifications provided by Precision Planning, Inc., including labor, materials, equipment, and safety measures necessary for a quality roof replacement.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and is expected to be completed within a specified number of days as agreed upon in writing by both parties.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of liability and workers' compensation insurance before commencing work. A valid W-9 form must be included with submissions. Contractors must comply with the Illegal Immigration Reform and Enforcement Act of 2011 by completing an affidavit verifying their use of the E-Verify program. Additionally, bidders should have completed at least three similar roofing projects in the last ten years and provide client references.
