Background
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia is issuing this Invitation to Bid for the renovation of the Roberts Library at Dalton State College.
The project aims to enhance the library's facilities and services, aligning with the college's mission to provide quality education and resources to its students and faculty.

Work Details
The contract involves comprehensive renovation work at the Roberts Library, including but not limited to:
- Replacement of LED light fixtures in designated areas.
- Landscaping adjustments on the west side of the pedestrian sidewalk.
- Installation of new glass walls and room entrances in place of an interior storefront.
- Construction of a dark bronze anodized aluminum picket railing instead of a stone veneer wall at an elevated landing.
- Removal, storage, and reinstallation of existing toilet fixtures after finish upgrades in restrooms.
- Omission of duct cleaning for the entire building.
- Replacement of wood slat wall cover with gypsum furred wall and accent paint at central stair.
- Omission of built-in booth seating from construction scope.
- Installation of a metal cable railing system instead of a glass railing system.
- Retention of an existing unused elevator with furred walls matching adjacent finishes.
- Partial build-out infrastructure for a café area without full casework or features.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon the effective date following bid acceptance and will continue until all work is completed, with specific timelines outlined in subsequent project documentation.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed on-site at Dalton State College, located at 642 George Rice Drive, Dalton, Georgia 30720.
