Background
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking bids from pre-qualified firms to provide Demolition and Removal Services for improvements, structures, or other encumbrances in the Right of Way or Easement Areas. This solicitation is part of GDOT's mission to maintain and improve public roadways in Georgia. Only firms that hold a current prequalification certificate for Right of Way Property Management Services issued by GDOT are eligible to bid.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete demolition of identified structures as detailed in the Asbestos Inspection Reports. The work includes:

1. Demolition of two abandoned 8”x8” metal sign posts and their associated concrete footers, which have been cut at/near grade.
2. All demolition debris must be removed and disposed of properly in accordance with the Georgia Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Act.
3. The contractor must ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and specifications outlined in the solicitation documents, including those related to asbestos abatement if applicable.
4. The contractor must also fill and tamp any voids left after removal with clean soil and cover with pine straw.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence immediately following the issuance of a Notice to Proceed, with all work required to be completed within thirty (30) days from that date unless modified by GDOT.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within Laurens County, Georgia, specifically at 3729 S. U.S. Hwy 441, Rentz, GA 31075.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be prequalified by GDOT in the service class E-3 (Demolition). Additionally, bidders are required to provide a Drug-Free Workplace Certification and comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act by using the E-Verify program for their employees and subcontractors.
