The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking a PRE-QUALIFIED firm interested in providing Demolition and Removal of Improvements, Structures or Other Encumbrances in the Right of Way or Easement Areas. GDOT will select the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder based on analysis of bid prices received. Bidders are responsible for checking this solicitation for any/all updates. It is the bidders responsibility to ensure that its bid(s) arrive on or before the specified time. No bids will be accepted after the time set for receipt. CAUTION: A RESTRICTION OF COMMUNICATION IS IN EFFECT FOR THIS PROJECT. From the advertisement date of this solicitation until a successful respondent is selected and the selection is announced, respondents are not allowed to communicate about this solicitation or scope with any staff of GDOT, including the Commissioner, and Board Members, except for submission of questions as instructed in the ITB, or as provided by any existing work agreement(s). Background
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide demolition, abatement, and removal services for structures and improvements located in the Right of Way and/or Easement Areas. This solicitation is specifically aimed at firms that hold prequalification status for Right of Way Property Management Services issued by GDOT. The goal is to identify a contractor who can effectively manage the demolition process while adhering to all relevant regulations.
Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete demolition of a dilapidated wood frame residential structure over a crawl space, approximately 2,030 square feet of asphalt paving, and a septic system. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment, supervision, labor, and materials for the demolition. All improvements must be completely demolished and removed from their current site. Demolition debris must be disposed of properly in accordance with the Georgia Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Act and relevant local regulations.
The work includes:
1. Abatement of asbestos-containing materials as identified in the Asbestos Inspection Reports.
2. Compliance with Technical Specifications for both abatement and demolition.
3. Submission of Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) Project Notification Forms immediately after receiving the Notice of Award.
4. Work must commence promptly following issuance of the Notice to Proceed and be completed within thirty (30) days unless modified by GDOT.
Period of Performance
The contract will remain in effect for thirty (30) days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed unless modified in writing by GDOT.

Oconee County, Georgia, specifically at 1250 Jimmy Daniell Rd, Bogart, GA 30622.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold prequalification status from GDOT in either Asbestos Abatement (Service Class E-2) or Demolition (Service Class E-3). Bids will only be accepted from firms listed on GDOT's prequalification listing as of the bid due date. Additionally, bidders are required to maintain a drug-free workplace policy and provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents.
