Background
Butts County Fire & Emergency Services (BCFES) is seeking sealed proposals from qualified manufacturers or dealers for two (2) new custom or commercial fire apparatus.
The intent of this Invitation to Bid (ITB #26-09) is to obtain competitive bids for a fire apparatus that provides reliability, functionality, and efficiency in firefighting operations.
Work Details
The contract includes the provision of two (2) new fire apparatus with the following specifications:
- **Chassis Requirements**: Custom or commercial chassis suitable for fire service use, 4-door climate-controlled cab, diesel engine with a minimum of 380 HP, automatic transmission, aluminum or stainless-steel body construction.
- **Pump and Plumbing**: Minimum 1,250 GPM mid-ship pump rated per NFPA 1901, tank capacity of at least 1,000 gallons of water, side-mount pump controls preferred, front bumper handline with minimum 100 feet of hose, electric rewind booster reel with minimum 150 feet of hose.
- **Electrical and Lighting**: LED warning light package meeting NFPA standards, dual LED headlights and marker lighting.
- **Compartments and Equipment Mounting**: Full-height compartments with adjustable shelving, prewired outlets in cab.
- **Paint and Graphics**: Painted to match Butts County Fire & Emergency Services color scheme with department logos applied after award.
- **Warranty and Documentation**: Minimum warranties include 10 years for body, 5 years for paint, and 3 years bumper-to-bumper. Detailed parts and service manuals must be provided.
- **Training and Delivery**: On-site delivery inspection and operational training for personnel must be included.
Period of Performance
The bid submission deadline is January 22, 2026.
