ITB 25-PW01, Asbestos Remediation Project

Background
The City of Milton is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the Asbestos Remediation Project. This project involves the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials from structures located at 2545 Bethany Bend and 990 Lackey Rd in Milton, Georgia. The City aims to ensure compliance with environmental regulations while safeguarding public health. Contractors must be pre-qualified by the Georgia Department of Transportation and possess a valid Asbestos Abatement License from the State of Georgia, along with a minimum of three years of verifiable experience in asbestos removal.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Removal and disposal of all Asbestos-Containing Material (ACM) in accordance with EPA, EPD, and OSHA guidelines.
2. Ensuring that all operations are conducted by certified personnel as per Georgia's licensing requirements.
3. Submitting copies of environmental permits and hazardous materials disposal certificates to the project engineer or inspector.
4. Compliance with specific project specifications including erosion control measures and site cleanup according to local laws.
5. Adhering to plans provided via hyperlinks for detailed project specifications related to the work required.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence within ten calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with a completion deadline set for April 30, 2025.

The work will be performed at two locations in Milton, Georgia: 2545 Bethany Bend and 990 Lackey Rd.
