ITB # 003-25 - City of Fort Oglethorpe Resurfacing FY 25 (PIT0019453) - Construction

Background
The City of Fort Oglethorpe is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for asphalt construction related to GDOT PI 0019453.
The project aims to enhance the road infrastructure within the city, aligning with the city's mission to maintain and improve public roadways for safety and accessibility.

Work Details
The project consists of performing asphalt resurfacing on approximately 0.75 miles of centerline road within the City of Fort Oglethorpe.
The work includes:
- Resurfacing
- Asphalt milling
- Asphalt patching
- Permanent grassing
- Shoulder milling/dressing
- Installation of striping.
Two roads are included in this project.
The successful bidder will also be required to attend a preconstruction conference with the City, selected DBE firms, and the GDOT Area Engineer.

Period of Performance
The successful bidder will have up to one hundred and eighty-two (182) consecutive calendar days to complete the work upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed from the City.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, specifically at locations designated for asphalt resurfacing as part of GDOT PI 0019453.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders submitting a bid of $2,000,000 or less must be either a prequalified contractor or a registered subcontractor with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Bidders submitting bids over $2,000,000 must be prequalified with GDOT.
Each bid must include a Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid from an approved surety.
Additionally, bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 11246 regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and submit necessary forms including a complete Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goals Form.
