IT Managed Services Provider

Background
The City of Thomaston, Georgia, is seeking qualified IT Managed Services Providers to assist in providing IT managed services. The goal of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to ensure that the city maintains its technology infrastructure and information systems securely and efficiently.

Work Details
The selected IT Managed Services Provider will be responsible for a range of services including:

- 24/7 monitoring of network and email systems
- Executing nightly backups for all servers
- Maintaining licensing for all programs and hardware
- Procurement management for electronic equipment
- On-site and remote problem resolution
- Technical support via help desk
- Monthly reporting on purchases and project statuses
- Development of IT policies
- Evaluation of new hardware
- Planning for implementation and deployment
- Configuration of hardware and software
- Asset inventory management
- Lifecycle management of hardware units
- Software licensing control.

The provider must manage technology functions across six locations including City Hall and various departments such as Fire, Police, Electric, Parks/Public Spaces/Streets, and Water & Sewer. They must also handle a variety of equipment including servers, PCs, laptops, tablets, cell phones, printers, scanners, and security systems.

Period of Performance
Services are expected to commence immediately following the approval of qualifications and will continue until a new RFQ is issued or a 90-day notice is provided by either party to terminate services.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at multiple locations within the City of Thomaston including City Hall and various departmental facilities.
