Description

Rev 1 - Added D1 This solicitation is being conducted by the Georgia Department of Transportation under its authority to procure services ancillary to the construction and maintenance of a public road (as defined in O.C.G.A 32-1-3 (24) as provided for in O.C.G.A 32-2-61 (c) and (d) (1) (D). Only contractors deemed as Qualified Contractors to provide Pavement Preservation and Maintenance Services during the prequalification process having an MSA agreement beginning with (48400-410-0000034480) are eligible to participate in this Invitation to Bid (ITB) / Request for Quote (RFQ). Through this ITB/RFQ the Georgia Department of Transportation (hereinafter, the State Entity, Department, Agency, or GDOT) is seeking bids for Pavement Preservation and Maintenance Services. All respondents to this ITB/RFQ are subject to same terms and conditions of the MMSA 48400-410-0000034480, all respondents to this ITB/RFQ are subject to same terms and conditions of the RFQC 48400-410-0000033480, subsequent awarded contract, and the Invitation to Bid (ITB) / Request for Quote (RFQ) Form, and are cautioned to completely review the entire ITB/RFQ and follow instructions carefully. The Department reserves the right to modify existing provisions or include additional provisions, which are not currently addressed herein and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive technicalities and in-formalities at its discretion.
Background
This solicitation is issued by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to procure Pavement Preservation and Maintenance Services under its authority for the construction and maintenance of public roads.
The goal is to ensure safe and efficient roadway conditions through qualified contractors who have undergone a prequalification process.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive pavement preservation and maintenance services, including but not limited to: deep patching on SR 324 in Gwinnett County from mile post 0.00 to 4.03, milling, patching, debris removal, striping, and installing traffic pavement markings.
The contractor must supply all labor, materials, tools, equipment, means of transportation, traffic control, and incidentals necessary for the work.
Specific tasks include: milling to specified depths (2.0 inches or 4.5 inches), replacing milled sections with appropriate asphalt mixes (12.5 mm Superpave and 19 mm Superpave), ensuring proper traffic control measures are in place during operations, and adhering to all GDOT specifications and standards.

Period of Performance
Work must begin no later than 30 days after the Prework Meeting and must be completed within 180 days after the Prework Meeting.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed on SR 324 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Only contractors deemed as Qualified Contractors with an active Maintenance Master Services Agreement (MSA) are eligible to participate.
Contractors must comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act by submitting an affidavit confirming registration with E-Verify.
Additionally, a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each equal to 100% of the award price must be provided by the successful bidder.
