Interior Painting of Common Areas and Hallways

Background
The Habersham County School District is seeking qualified contractors to provide interior painting services for common areas and hallways at North Habersham Middle School. The goal of this contract is to enhance the aesthetic appeal and maintain the facilities of the school, which serves the educational needs of the community.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for painting all interior walls throughout the school, excluding classrooms, gymnasium, and kitchen. Additionally, all hollow metal doors and door frames (interior and exterior) will be painted, except for classroom and kitchen doors.

The work includes surface preparation such as cleaning, caulking, sanding, patching, and priming. Specific paint types include:
1) Concrete Masonry Units: Eggshell Enamel Finish with two coats of S-W Pro Industrial Pre-Catalyzed Water-Based Epoxy;
2) Hollow Metal Doors and Door Frames: High Gloss Alkyd Enamel with two finish coats over primer using S-W Pro Industrial Water-based Alkyd Urethane Semi-Gloss.

The contractor must ensure that all surfaces are protected from paint splatter or damage during the project. All materials must be delivered in original packaging with manufacturer's labels.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence on May 30, 2026, with a completion deadline of July 10, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at North Habersham Middle School located at 1500 Wall Bridge Rd, Clarkesville, GA 30523.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have been in business for a minimum of two years and cannot be employees of the Habersham County School District. They are required to perform background checks on employees working on school property at their own expense.

A certificate of insurance with specified coverage amounts is required. Bidders must also submit an E-Verify affidavit confirming compliance with federal work authorization laws, valid business licenses in Georgia, three references (two business and one personal), and a current W-9 form.
