Inmate Medical and Mental Health Services

Background
The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is seeking proposals from qualified firms experienced in providing Inmate Medical and Mental Health Services for the Cobb County Adult Detention Center located at 1825 County Services Parkway, Marietta, GA 30008.

The CCSO aims to ensure that medical and mental health services are delivered effectively to the inmate population, which includes a significant number of pre-trial detainees. The contract will be awarded for a period of four years with provisions for renewal and termination as specified.

Work Details
The successful provider will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical and mental health services to inmates, including evaluation, treatment, prescribing medications, and monitoring health needs.

The provider must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as standards set by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) and the American Correctional Association (ACA). Key personnel required include a Health Services Administrator, Medical Director, Director of Nursing, and various medical staff such as Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and mental health professionals.

Additionally, the provider must ensure adequate staffing levels to meet service requirements and maintain compliance with accreditation standards.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence in Spring 2025 and will last for four years. Proposals must include cost proposals separated by year rather than a lump sum for the entire term. The first year of service is expected to begin in Spring 2025.
