Background
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) operates the ninth largest transit system in North America, providing bus, rail, and paratransit services in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. MARTA transports over 500,000 people daily across the City of Atlanta and counties of Clayton, DeKalb, and Fulton.
The goal of this contract is to procure facility-wide janitorial services to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across MARTA's various facilities.
Work Details
MARTA is seeking bids from firms to provide comprehensive janitorial cleaning services and floor care for its maintenance facilities, garages, police precincts, and warehouses throughout the MARTA system. The services include but are not limited to:
- Daily mopping of raised floors
- Weekly warehouse mopping
- Weekly spray buffing of entrances and common areas
- Monthly scrubbing of restroom floors and locker rooms
- Monthly stripping and waxing of floors
- Quarterly carpet cleaning
- Will-call services.
Specific locations include various police precincts and maintenance facilities listed in the bid form.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last for a base year with options for renewal as specified in the bid documents.
