Background
Brooks County School Nutrition is seeking food distributors for the 2026-2027 school year. The goal of this solicitation is to provide a variety of food products that meet the nutritional needs of K-12 students while adhering to USDA guidelines and Smart Snack criteria.

Work Details
The contract involves providing a wide range of food items, including but not limited to:
- Dried Apples (Smart Snack compliant, Buy American Certified) - 125 bags per case.
- Sliced Apples in Water (USDA Foods) - 6/10# cans.
- Applesauce Pouches (Buddy Fruits or approved equal) - 100 pouches per case.
- Various seasonings and sauces such as Barbecue Sauce (Kens or approved equal) - 4/1 Gallon.
- Different types of beans (e.g., Baked Beans, Black Beans) - 6/#10 cans.
- Breakfast cereals and kits from brands like Kellogg's and General Mills, with specific requirements for whole grain content and sugar levels.
- Frozen items including fully cooked chicken products, frozen fruits, and various types of pizzas that meet specific nutritional standards.

Each item must comply with CN labeling requirements where applicable, and nutritional information must be provided for all products.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed during the 2026-2027 school year.

Place of Performance
Brooks County School District, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with USDA guidelines for food distribution in schools and provide necessary certifications for all products offered. Products must meet Smart Snack criteria where applicable.
