HVAC Cooling System for Fire Apparatus Maintenance Shop

Background
Cobb County is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide cooling to an existing apparatus maintenance shop for the Cobb County Fire Department located at 3200 Austell Road, Marietta, GA.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the operational efficiency and comfort of the maintenance shop, which is approximately 47,000 square feet.

Work Details
The project involves furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, etc., necessary for the installation of an HVAC Cooling System. This includes:
1. Installation of three (3) 30-ton Rooftop Units (Trane model TCH360D40), each supplying 11,000 CFM. These units will be cooling-only with economizers and no hot gas reheat.
2. Installation of new 4” thick concrete pads for the Rooftop Units located behind the maintenance shop.
3. Installation of metal ducts outside the building and fabric ducts inside to distribute air into the maintenance shop without obstructing existing lights or fire protection mains.
4. Replacement of one non-operational HVLS fan in the apparatus bay with a similar unit approximately 12 feet in diameter.
5. Provision of electrical work including wiring and disconnects for all new equipment as per NEC standards.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the bid documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Cobb County Fire Apparatus Maintenance Shop located at 3200 Austell Road, Marietta, GA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a Qualification Statement with their bid proposal demonstrating sufficient means and experience in HVAC installations.
A bid bond equal to no less than five percent (5%) of the total cost for the work is required along with performance and payment bonds prior to signing the contract.
Bidders must comply with Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act requirements.
