HVAC Controls Replacement 25-028

Background
The Vidalia City School District is seeking competitive proposals from general contractors for the HVAC Controls Replacement project at the Vidalia Board of Education Central Office Facility in Vidalia, Georgia.

The project aims to enhance the HVAC system's efficiency and functionality, aligning with the district's commitment to providing a conducive learning environment.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the complete construction of the HVAC Controls Replacement project. This includes but is not limited to:
- Selective demolition of existing HVAC controls
- Installation of new direct-digital control systems for HVAC
- Integration of variable frequency controllers
- Testing, adjusting, and balancing of the HVAC system
- Installation of air terminal units and duct insulation
- Compliance with all applicable codes including International Building Code, International Fire Code, International Plumbing Code, National Electrical Code, and others as specified in the contract documents.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the contract documents.

The anticipated start date is October 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Vidalia Board of Education Central Office Facility located at 1001 North Street, West, Vidalia, GA 30474.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a fully executed Bid Bond amounting to five percent (5%) of their proposed lump sum contract price. Contractors must also provide a completed Contractor’s Qualification Statement and Questionnaire along with a Subcontractor’s Qualification Statement for any specialty or professional licenses required for subcontractors involved in electrical, mechanical, structural steel, and roofing work.
