Horizontal Baler Bid

Background
The City of Thomasville is seeking bids for the purchase of One (1) Horizontal Cardboard Baler with Chamber Door and Conveyor. The bid opening is scheduled for June 28, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Fleet Services Building located at 923 Davenport Drive, Thomasville, Georgia 31792.

Work Details
The specifications for the purchase of the Horizontal Cardboard Baler with Chamber Door and Conveyor include detailed requirements for the design, manuals, repair guides, repair parts, operator training, delivery and availability of parts, location of service facility, decals, and after-hours support.
The bid specifications also list standard and optional equipment required for the baler, including U.L. listed control panel, touch screen controls, conveyor controls, auto cycle with lower photocell, start-up alarm and light, spin-on oil filter, 42” hopper with right-hand see-thru access door and interlock, conveyor, additional keys (Qty: 2), voltage (20hp, 460V, 3PH), bale ties (12ga x21’), site survey, compactor installation and offloading, shipping, and removal and disposal of existing unit.

Period of Performance
The bid pricing should remain effective for sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The City Council will consider the bids at a regularly scheduled council meeting within forty-five (45) days of the bid opening.
