Hickory Log Creek Intake Gate Vault Improvements Project

Background
The Hickory Log Creek Intake Gate Vault Improvements Project is issued by the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority. It aims to enhance the flood resilience of the Hickory Log Creek Pumping Station. The project focuses on raising the existing vault structure to mitigate sediment and debris intrusion during flood events, thereby ensuring the integrity of the water system.

Work Details
The project involves several key tasks:

- Raising the existing vault structure by 2 feet above the 100-year base flood elevation (BFE).
- Installation of electric actuators with remote control for the existing 30-inch intake slide gates.
- Mobilization and access inside the gate vault and pump station.
- Concrete and brick masonry construction.
- Replacement of existing gate stems.
- Electrical improvements.
- Installation of new ladders, stairs, railings, security gates, and hatches.

Additionally, a condition assessment of four existing gates and frames will be conducted. The contractor will also be responsible for dewatering and flood protection measures during construction.

Period of Performance
The time allowed for Final Completion and readiness for final payment is 250 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement.

The contract will be performed at the Hickory Log Creek Pumping Station located at 1250 Riverstone Pkwy, Canton, Georgia 30114.
