Description

The Project will result in raising the existing vault structure 2-feet above 100-year base flood elevation (BFE) to eliminate the potential for sediment and debris entering the system during flood events at the Hickory Log Creek Pumping Station. Raising the gate stems and equipping the existing 30-inch intake slide gates located at the vault with electric actuators with remote control. The project includes mobilization, access inside the gate vault and pump station, concrete and brick masonry construction, installation of new electric actuators, replacement of existing gate stems, electrical improvements, and installation of new ladders, stairs, railing, security gate, and hatches. A condition assessment of the four (4) existing gates and frames is included in the Work along with the responsibilities of dewatering and flood protection for the existing intake gate vault during construction.

Work Details
