Haralson, Church, and Ridley Road Safety Improvements

Background
The City of LaGrange, Georgia is seeking bids for the Haralson Street @ Church Street and @ Ridley Avenue Safety Improvements project. The goal of this project is to enhance safety for both pedestrians and vehicular traffic at the intersections by implementing various roadway construction improvements.

Work Details
The project involves roadway construction to improve intersections, including: modifying curb and gutter, installing handicap ramps to shorten pedestrian crossings, enhancing visibility for pedestrians and signage, milling and repaving existing roadways, installing storm drainage systems, striping roadways, and placing signage.

Specific tasks include:
- Erosion Control: Compost Filter Sock (360 LF), Curb Inlet Protection (11 EA)
- Demolition: Saw Cut Asphalt (842 LF), Remove Asphalt Pavement (830 SY), Saw Cut and Remove Curb and Gutter (440 LF), Remove and Relocate Signage (18 EA)
- Storm Drainage: 15-Inch HDPE Storm Pipe (190 LF), 18-Inch RCP Storm Pipe (44 LF), 6-Inch Trench Drain (40 LF)
- Paving: Asphalt Paving – Heavy Duty (300 SY), Asphalt Paving – Mill and Overlay (16,600 SF), Concrete Sidewalk (3,145 SF)
- Signing and Marking: Crosswalks - Thermoplastic (8 EA), Stop Signs (6 EA)
- Cash Allowances for soils and concrete testing ($2,500).

Period of Performance
The work is expected to be substantially complete by the dates specified in the Agreement following the bid acceptance.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the intersections of Haralson Street @ Church Street and @ Ridley Avenue in LaGrange, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed by the State of Georgia to perform the work under this contract. They must demonstrate adequate construction experience, sufficient equipment resources, financial capability to meet obligations under the contract, and familiarity with the work covered by these Contract Documents. Bidders are required to submit a Bid Bond equal to 5% of their bid amount.
