Georgia Roadway and Bridge Construction Projects Advertisement

Background
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is advertising for bids on various roadway and bridge projects of construction. The Notice to Contractors lists projects, project descriptions, locations, and estimated quantities for each project. The GDOT announced significant updates to the Department’s Standard Specifications for Construction of Transportation Systems manual. The changes were approved at the January State Transportation Board meeting and go into use on April 16, 2021.
The GDOT Construction Standard Specifications manual will only be available online, printed publications will no longer be available for purchase.

The projects include various roadway and bridge construction projects in different counties such as Bibb, Brantley, Bulloch, Evans, Screven, Catoosa, Murray, Whitfield, Chatham, Jeff Davis, Long, Coweta, Dade, Walker, Dougherty, Forsyth, Fulton, Habersham, Lumpkin, Rabun, Towns, Hall, Haralson, Jackson, McDuffie, Morgan, Walton,Worth,Cobb,Douglas,Gwinnett,Gordon,Oconee,Rockdale,Taylor.
The work involves constructing and widening roads and bridges in these locations.

Period of Performance
The proposals for furnishing all labor, material, equipment and other items necessary for the work described are to be received using AASHTOWARE PROJECT BIDS * BID COMPONENT (PROJECT BIDS) SOFTWARE until 11:00 AM on July 19th 2024.
