Description

The City of St Marys is seeking proposals from highly qualified vendors with experience in proving, installing, and certifying portable and fixed generators for continual critical services in the City of St Marys, Georgia. Vendor must have the capability and ability to properly install, test and certify that the equipment will provide backup electrical service as needed in the event of a hurricane, tornado, and other natural or manmade disasters.
Background
The City of St. Marys, Georgia, is seeking proposals from qualified vendors experienced in providing, installing, and certifying portable and fixed generators for continual critical services. This initiative is part of the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) 4400-0066, aimed at ensuring backup electrical service during natural or manmade disasters such as hurricanes and tornadoes.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement, delivery, setup, connection, testing, and certification of (8) portable generators and (1) fixed generator to serve (16) lift stations and the City of St. Marys Public Works Building. Specific tasks include:

- Installation of a 250kw fixed generator with an automatic transfer switch at the Public Works Building.
- Provision of trailer-mounted generators with varying capacities (48kw and 100kw) for multiple lift stations.
- Installation of (16) manual transfer switches and (1) automatic transfer switch.
- All necessary cabling, conduits, panels, switches, and appurtenances must be included in the bid pricing.
- Compliance with FEMA and GEMA standards is required throughout the project.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to commence no later than June 4, 2025, and shall be completed by September 4, 2025. The total contract time is set for 90 consecutive calendar days from the date of a Formal Notice to Proceed.
