Generator & Transfer Switch Installations

Background
The Decatur County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for the construction of Generator & Transfer Switch Installations. The project aims to enhance the electrical infrastructure within Decatur County, specifically at the Industrial Air Park and County Public Works Site. This initiative is part of the county's commitment to improving public services and ensuring reliable power supply.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the installation of six (6) generators and associated transfer switches as detailed in the construction drawings. The work includes all necessary equipment for a complete project, adhering to the provided plans and specifications. The project will be awarded as a single contract.

Period of Performance
The work must reach substantial completion within 180 consecutive calendar days from the start date. The total completion deadline for contract close-out is 194 consecutive calendar days.

Place of Performance
The installations will take place at various locations within the Decatur County Industrial Air Park and County Public Works Site in Bainbridge, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed Electrical Contractors, with license numbers clearly indicated on bid envelopes. A Bid Bond or certified cashier’s check of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount is required. Additionally, bidders must comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act by registering in the E-Verify program.
