Description

Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals ( eRFP ) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide GEARS (Crash Data Management Services) to the Department of Transportation (hereinafter, the Department ) as further described in this eRFP. The selected Bidder will provide the GEARS program to the Department as outlined in this RFP.
Background
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking to establish a contract for GEARS (Crash Data Management Services) as part of its mission to manage crash data effectively. This initiative is in accordance with the State Purchasing Act of Georgia, aimed at selecting a qualified supplier to enhance the Department's capabilities in crash data management.

Work Details
The selected bidder will provide comprehensive Crash Data Management Services under the GEARS program, which includes:
- Establishing and maintaining contacts with law enforcement agencies for timely crash report submissions.
- Distributing information and encouraging prompt reporting.
- Receiving, sorting, and identifying issues with crash report submissions from law enforcement agencies.
- Ensuring that supplemental and corrected reports are accurately loaded into the database.
- Responding to inquiries via phone and email, and conducting research to provide necessary crash data information.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be one year from the date of award, with four optional one-year renewals at the discretion of GDOT.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed primarily at GDOT facilities located throughout the state of Georgia.
