GDC-24-WARE-SP-016, Ware State Prison Gym Foundation & Stormwater Project

Background
The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC) is issuing this solicitation on behalf of the Georgia Department of Corrections for the Ware State Prison Gym Foundation & Stormwater Project. The goal of this contract is to repair and enhance the infrastructure at the Ware State Prison, ensuring proper stormwater management and structural integrity of the gymnasium building.

Work Details
The project scope includes:
1. Repairing the building foundation for the gymnasium, including installation of new gutters and downspouts that connect to the storm drainage system.
2. Repairing or installing new storm drainage structures, which encompass inlets, junction boxes, pipe culverts, outfall structures, riprap basins, ditch maintenance, new sidewalk installation, construction fencing, and permanent fencing.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and will continue until all specified repairs and installations are completed. The bid opening is scheduled for May 22, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Ware State Prison located at 3620 North Harris Road, Waycross, Georgia 31503.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit their proposals electronically via GSFIC’s online bidding system, e-Builder. No paper bids will be accepted. All bids must include a Bid Verification and Statement of Qualifications along with any other required forms. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference on May 8, 2025, is required; failure to attend will result in disqualification from the bidding process.
