FY26 Custodial Services Bid

Background
The Gainesville City School System, a small K-12 public school system located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is soliciting proposals for custodial services to be provided at eleven locations in the Gainesville area.
The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and safe environment for students and staff across all school facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide complete custodial services including janitorial services, supplies, and supervision at the following locations:
- Gainesville High School (331,295 sq ft)
- Horizon Academy (32,640 sq ft)
- Gainesville Middle School East (219,800 sq ft)
- Gainesville Middle School West (184,000 sq ft)
- Gainesville Exploration Academy (76,300 sq ft)
- Centennial Arts Academy (103,000 sq ft)
- Satellite Office (120,800 sq ft)
- Enota Multiple Intelligences Academy (129,000 sq ft)
- Fair Street IB World School (104,000 sq ft)
- New Holland Core Knowledge Academy (76,300 sq ft)
- Mundy Mill Learning Academy (129,000 sq ft)
- Central Office (18,000 sq ft)
- Maintenance and Transportation (5,000 sq ft).

Services include daily cleaning of restrooms and common areas, mopping floors, trash removal from kitchens and cafeterias during meal times, periodic deep cleaning of carpets and floors, and maintaining outside areas. The contractor must also provide all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2026 and will continue through June 30, 2029.

Place of Performance
All custodial services will be performed at various locations within the Gainesville City School System in Gainesville, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must be licensed to do business in the City of Gainesville and have a minimum of five years experience in custodial services. They must also have contracts with at least three school districts of similar size. Proposers are required to register with E-Verify and submit a signed contractor's affidavit with their proposal. Insurance requirements include general liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence and $10 million umbrella coverage.
