Food Service Management Services for Public Charter School

Background
The Liberty Classical Schools Educational Services, Inc., doing business as Cherokee Classical Academy, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Food Service Management Company (FSMC) services to operate its School Nutrition Program. The goal of this contract is to provide quality food service management that complies with federal and state regulations while promoting nutrition education and wellness among students.
The contract will be effective from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

Work Details
The FSMC will be responsible for the following services:
1. Serve meals on designated days and times as requested by the SFA.
2. Offer free, reduced-price, and full-price reimbursable meals to all eligible children participating in the SFA’s Food Service Programs.
3. Provide meals that meet USDA meal pattern requirements and promote maximum participation in the programs.
4. Maintain accurate records of meal counts and ensure compliance with USDA regulations regarding free and reduced-price meal eligibility.
5. Implement a point of service counting system approved by the SFA to eliminate overt identification of eligible students.
6. Operate the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), Seamless Summer Option (SSO), and other specified programs as outlined in Exhibit A of the contract.
7. Ensure that all food items served meet nutritional standards and are sourced from approved suppliers, including local agricultural products when possible.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on July 1, 2025, and terminate on June 30, 2026, with options for renewal for four additional one-year terms upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Food service operations will take place at Cherokee Classical Academy located at 2126 Sixes Rd Canton GA 30114.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be incorporated or licensed to do business in Georgia and must be on or willing to be on the utilized list of FSMC vendors with the School Nutrition Division of the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE). They must provide annual financial statements from a certified public accountant, demonstrate experience with similar school systems, and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding food service operations.
