Food Service Management Company (FSMC)

Background
Troup County Public Schools is seeking proposals for a Food Service Management Company (FSMC) to provide food service management services for the School Nutrition Program. This initiative aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of food services provided to students, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while promoting nutrition education and wellness.

The contract will be governed by the guidelines set forth by the Georgia Department of Education's School Nutrition Division.

Work Details
The FSMC will be responsible for operating the School Food Authority's (SFA) Food Service Program, which includes:
- Serving meals on designated days and times.
- Offering free, reduced-price, and full-price reimbursable meals.
- Providing meals that meet USDA meal patterns.
- Promoting maximum participation in programs.
- Maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Implementing an accurate point-of-service count.
- Making necessary substitutions for students with disabilities.
- Providing additional food services as requested.

The FSMC must also participate in menu planning with an advisory group composed of students, teachers, and parents. The FSMC will operate under a 21-day cycle menu that meets all state and federal requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, and terminate on June 30, 2026. There is an option for renewal for four additional one-year terms upon mutual agreement between the SFA and FSMC.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Troup County Public Schools located at 100 N. Davis Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241.
