Description

Vending Services will be provided in accordance with the attached bid sheet. Suppliers must provide a quote for all listed items (or Brands specified) on bid sheet. However, comparable alternates/substitutes will also be considered. The award will be made to a single Bidder to provide full service on all machines/items, and to the vendor that provides the highest percentage of commission. The commission percentage being offered should be listed on the Vending Bid Sheet and entered as the price on the line item. Background
The Georgia Department of Corrections is seeking a contractor to provide food and drink vending services at the Women's Probation Detention Center and Smith Transitional Center. The goal of this contract is to ensure that high-quality snacks and beverages are available for employees and visitors, while also generating revenue through commissions on sales.

Work Details
The contractor will install automatic food and drink vending machines at no cost to the Department, ensuring they are stocked with quality products that meet health standards. The contractor must provide all items listed in the attached Vending Services Bid Sheet, including comparable substitutes.

Machines must be serviced regularly to maintain functionality, and additional machines may be required based on demand. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses and permits, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. A commission percentage on gross sales must be reported monthly along with sales data.

The contractor must also provide Energy Star compliant machines, allow credit/debit card transactions, and ensure freshness of products by rotating stock regularly.

Period of Performance
The contract will begin upon award and is subject to four annual renewal options. The facility is estimated to open in January 2026.

Vending services will be provided at the following locations:
- Women's Probation Detention Center, 8662 U.S. Highway 301 North, Claxton, GA 30417
- Smith Transitional Center, 9631 U.S. Highway 301 North, Claxton, GA 30417.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. They are required to maintain specific insurance coverage including Workers Compensation Insurance and Commercial General Liability Insurance.

Contractors must also complete sexual harassment prevention training annually if they or their employees interact regularly with state personnel.
