Food & Drink Vending Services- Ware State Prison

Background
The Georgia Department of Corrections is seeking a contractor to provide food and drink vending services at Ware State Prison. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the facility's employees and visitors have access to high-quality snacks and beverages through vending machines that comply with health and sanitation standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supplying vending machines with food and drink items as specified in the attached bid sheet. The contractor must provide a quote for all listed items or comparable substitutes. The awarded vendor will operate full service on all machines/items and must offer the highest percentage of commission on gross sales.

Key requirements include:
- Installation of Energy Star compliant vending machines at no cost to the Department.
- Machines must be stocked with high-quality products, regularly serviced, and maintained in a clean condition.
- The contractor must deliver machines within 14 calendar days of contract initiation.
- Weekly pickup of expired or damaged items is required, along with ensuring product freshness.
- The ability to accept credit/debit card payments must be provided.

Period of Performance
The contract will begin upon award and will include four annual renewal options, subject to performance evaluations.

Ware State Prison, 3620 North Harris Road, Waycross, GA 31503.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. They are required to maintain necessary licenses and permits throughout the contract term. Additionally, contractors must provide proof of insurance coverage including Workers Compensation Insurance, Commercial General Liability Insurance, Automobile Liability Insurance, and Umbrella Liability Insurance as specified in the solicitation.
