Floor Cleaning Services

Background
Dalton Public Schools is seeking proposals for Carpet and Hard Flooring Cleaning Services for all its facilities, including classrooms and ancillary buildings. The goal of this contract is to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for students and staff. The contract will be awarded based on the best value to the school district, considering factors such as experience, qualifications, and pricing.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:

1) Two full rounds of hot water extraction carpet cleaning for classrooms (excluding hallways);

2) Three full rounds of hot water extraction carpet cleaning for floor mats and hallways;

3) One round of stripping and waxing (minimum five coats) of appropriate hard flooring;

4) One round of deep cleaning non-waxable hard flooring (LVP/LVT) using an automatic scrubber;

5) An hourly rate for additional emergency services such as water leaks or spills.

All cleaning must occur during school breaks or when facilities are unoccupied. The contractor is responsible for moving furniture before cleaning and returning it afterward.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period will begin on July 1, 2025, and end on June 30, 2026. There is an option for annual extensions up to four additional years with approval from the Dalton Board of Education.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Dalton Public Schools in Dalton, Georgia, including Blue Ridge Elementary School, Brookwood Elementary School, City Park Elementary School, Dalton High School, and others as listed in the proposal.
