Flat Shoals Elementary School Renovation And Modifications Project

Background
The Rockdale County Board of Education is issuing a solicitation for bids for the renovation and modifications of Flat Shoals Elementary School, located at 1455 Flat Shoals Road, Conyers, Georgia.

The project aims to enhance the existing school facility while it remains operational, ensuring that educational activities are not disrupted during the construction process.

Work Details
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:
- Painting
- Installation of floor coverings
- Ceiling modifications
- Cabinetry updates
- Lighting improvements
- Fire alarm system upgrades
- Electrical upgrades
- HVAC enhancements

The project encompasses an existing school facility of approximately 72,000 square feet and requires phased construction operations with coordination for after-hour and weekend work as well as during school breaks.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed after the Pre-Construction meeting scheduled post-bid approval.

All work must be substantially complete by July 27, 2026 (7 days prior to the start of the 2026-2027 school year on August 3, 2026) and fully completed within 60 days following substantial completion.
