Fire Rescue Complex-Design Build Step 1

Background
The City of South Fulton, Georgia, is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the design-build services for a new Fire Rescue Complex located at 300 Cascade Palmetto Highway. This initiative follows a needs assessment conducted by the City Council in 2017, which recommended increasing fire stations and establishing a public safety training facility.

The City has purchased approximately 51 acres for this purpose and aims to enhance service efficacy in District 2 along the Cascade Palmetto corridor.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive design-build services, including coordination with an already retained Civil Engineer. The project will encompass the following facilities:
- A main headquarters
- Training and gym building (approximately 50,000 SF)
- An incident command center (approximately 2,000 SF)
- A four-bay fire station (approximately 22,000 SF)
- A logistics building (approximately 15,540 SF)
- A maintenance building (approximately 11,900 SF)
- A storage barn (approximately 2,400 SF)
- An outdoor classroom (approximately 1,000 SF)
- Laundry/restroom facilities near the outdoor classroom
- Extraction training pads
- A large concrete pad driving course
- A burn building.

The project also includes miscellaneous amenities associated with the complex but excludes certain elements like a pavilion and trail due to environmental constraints.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence within ten calendar days after receipt of written Notice to Proceed (NTP). The timeline for completion will be determined during the negotiation phase following the selection of the contractor.

The work will be performed at the site located at 300 Cascade Palmetto Highway, South Fulton, Georgia.
