Fayette County High School Auxillary Gym Addition & Athletic Improvements (ITB 25-025-075)

Background
The Fayette County Board of Education is seeking construction services for the addition of an Auxiliary Gymnasium and improvements to athletic facilities at Fayette County High School located in Fayetteville, Georgia. The goal of this contract is to enhance the school's athletic capabilities and provide updated facilities for students and the community.

Work Details
The project includes the following specifications and requirements:

1. Construction of an Auxiliary Gymnasium with specified dimensions and features.

2. Installation of metal lockers sized 24” wide x 18” deep x 60” high as per Section 105113.

3. Replacement of door hardware as outlined in Section 087100, which includes commercial door hardware for swinging doors, electrified door hardware, and cylinders for locks specified in other sections.

4. Modifications to existing drawings including updates to floor plans, toilet plans, door schedules, and miscellaneous details as indicated in the addendum dated February 27, 2025.

5. Compliance with accessibility requirements as per ADA standards for all installed hardware and fixtures.

6. Provision of maintenance tools and instructions for ongoing upkeep of installed hardware.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and is projected to be completed within a timeline that aligns with the school’s operational schedule, specifically targeting completion by March 20, 2025.

The construction will take place at Fayette County High School located in Fayetteville, Georgia.
