Background
The Richmond County School System is seeking proposals for the design, delivery, and installation of an Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System (ERRCS) at Richmond Hill Middle School.
This initiative aims to enhance public safety communication within the school premises, ensuring compliance with local regulations and providing reliable emergency response capabilities.

Work Details
The awarded contractor will be responsible for:
- Designing a comprehensive ERRCS that ensures optimal wireless coverage throughout the building.
- Meeting all requirements of IFC 2018 Sec 510 and City of Augusta regulations.
- Achieving a signal strength of -95 dBm RSSI or stronger throughout 100% of the building.
- Providing detailed plans including conduit routing, room ratings, donor site information, and power requirements.
- Installing systems that support all frequencies used by the City of Augusta's Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Including all necessary equipment and infrastructure for a complete ERRCS installation, including backup battery systems capable of operating for at least 12 hours without external power.
- Providing blueprints and schematic drawings related to the installation.
- Conducting acceptance testing and providing grid-testing results to ensure compliance with coverage requirements.
- Submitting all necessary permitting documents to AHJ.

Period of Performance
The anticipated award date is January 21, 2025, with delivery and installation expected within 145 days from award notification.
