Emergency Backup Generators for School Nutrition

Background
The Lowndes County School Nutrition Program is seeking to procure and install emergency backup generators for its facilities. This initiative aims to ensure that the School Nutrition Program can maintain operations during power outages, thereby supporting the mission of providing consistent and reliable nutrition services to students. The contract will be awarded through a competitive bidding process as outlined in the Invitation for Bid (IFB) #2025-02.

Work Details
The successful bidder will be responsible for supplying and installing five (5) emergency backup generators with specific requirements as follows:

1. **Hahira Elementary Nutrition Generator System**: Install 1 new Cummins or equal 30 kW diesel generator, including features such as a weather-protective enclosure, sound attenuation, and a 48-hour sub-base double wall fuel tank.

2. **Dewar Elementary Nutrition Generator System**: Install 1 new Cummins or equal 40 kW diesel generator with specifications tailored for different circuit requirements.

3. **Hahira Middle Nutrition Generator System**: Install 1 new Cummins or equal 40 kW diesel generator with specified circuit configurations.

4. **Lowndes High School Nutrition Generator System**: Install 1 new Cummins or equal 40 kW diesel generator designed to back up specific circuits.

5. **Moulton Branch Elementary Nutrition Generator System**: Install 1 new Cummins or equal 30 kW diesel generator with similar features as outlined for other installations.

Each installation includes freight, delivery, crane service, and concrete pad preparation.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on January 23, 2025, and conclude on June 30, 2025. There is an option to extend the contract for up to three additional months at the same pricing upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The installation of the generators will take place at various locations within Lowndes County, Georgia, specifically at Hahira Elementary School, Hahira Middle School, Lowndes High School, Moulton Branch Elementary School, and Dewar Elementary School.
