E-Rate Wireless

Background
Jones County Schools (JCSS) is issuing this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) to establish a contract with a qualified provider for the replacement of wireless access points across various schools in the district.
The goal is to enhance the wireless infrastructure to support educational activities effectively.
This procurement is part of the E-Rate program, which aims to provide affordable telecommunications and internet access to schools and libraries.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide a one-for-one replacement of existing wireless access points with the following specifications:

The winning vendor will also uninstall existing access points, transport them to the Technology office, and ensure installation occurs when students are not present. A detailed project plan including lead time for hardware, installation timeline, and assigned staff must be provided along with documentation of prior similar jobs.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and continue until the end of JCSS’s current fiscal year, which runs from July 1st through June 30th. There is an option for up to five one-year renewals at JCSS's discretion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within Jones County Schools, specifically at Clifton Ridge Middle School, Dames Ferry Elementary School, Gray Elementary School, Gray Station Middle School, Jones County High School, Turner Woods Elementary School, Wells Elementary School, Jones County Board of Education, Jones County PreK, Jones County Technology Office, and Jones County Transportation Office.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must provide documentation for prior similar jobs and experience working with K-12 entities or specifically with Jones County Schools. Pricing must be separated by E-Rate eligible and ineligible locations.
