Downtown Cedartown Corridor Enhancement

Background
The City of Cedartown, Georgia, is seeking sealed bids for the new construction of the Downtown Cedartown Corridor Enhancement. This project aims to enhance pedestrian connectivity and improve the streetscape in downtown Cedartown. The work is partially funded by the Appalachian Regional Commission, necessitating separate contract reporting requirements.

Work Details
The scope of work includes reconstruction of multiple parking areas and alleys to add pedestrian connectivity, streetscape enhancements, and landscaping. Specific tasks involve:

- Pavement milling and demolition
- Grading
- Construction of curb and gutter/header curb
- Sidewalks
- Brick paving
- Brick seatwalls with ornamental fencing
- CMU masonry dumpster enclosures
- Asphalt parking area with related striping
- Drainage improvements
- Erosion control measures
- Landscaping

The work will be divided into two contracts under one bid:

**CONTRACT 1 (PHASE 1)** includes three lots:
- **Lot 1 'Knight’s Alley Lot'**: 1,200 SY asphalt parking lot, 610 LF curb and gutter, 540 SY sidewalk, 1,200 SF brick pavers.
- **Lot 2 'Woodland/Herbert Lot'**: 1,300 SY asphalt parking lot, 1,100 LF curb and gutter, 470 SY sidewalk, 1,700 SF brick pavers.
- **Lot 3 'Ideal Bakery Lot'**: 2,200 SY asphalt parking lot, 1,200 LF curb and gutter, 255 SY sidewalk, 780 SF brick pavers.

**CONTRACT 2** is for the 'Stubbs/Herbert Lot' (City funded under a separate contract) which includes approximately:
- 1,400 SY asphalt parking lot
- 820 LF curb and gutter
- 270 SY sidewalk
- 4,400 SF brick pavers.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed until September 22, 2025.

Place of Performance
The geographic location for the contract performance is downtown Cedartown, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bids must include a Bid Bond of at least five percent (5%) of the Bid Sum. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid amount and a Labor & Materials Payment Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid amount. Additionally, PHASE I is subject to Davis-Bacon labor standards due to federal funding.
