Description

Douglas County Board of Commissioners is seeking a design/build contractor to provide turnkey services to relocate Juvenile Court, Juvenile Services, and Juvenile Public Defender from the 3rd floor of the courthouse to the 1st floor area of the courthouse that will be vacated by Development Services. It will be the responsibility of selected contractor to survey existing courtrooms and offices on the 3rd floor. We ask that the contractor provide floor plans for approval, subsequent architectural drawings and construction of the space office located at 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, GA 30134. The approved company will be responsible for all items listed in the Scope of Work Section of this document. Some of the renovated spaces may need to continue to operate fully staffed during the renovation. Any inconveniences on the part of the contractor need to be discussed prior to any disruption of services at the location. It is the intent of these specifications to describe the project requirements.

The County provides comprehensive services to its citizens and is strategically located near Atlanta, making it an ideal place to live and work.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for surveying existing courtrooms and offices on the 3rd floor. They must provide floor plans for approval, subsequent architectural drawings, and complete construction of the new office space.

Some renovated spaces may need to operate fully staffed during renovations, necessitating discussions about any disruptions in services. The contractor must adhere to all specifications outlined in the Scope of Work section of the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term shall be one (1) year from the date of execution with options for four (4) additional one (1) year renewals.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Douglas County Courthouse located at 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, Georgia 30134.
