Background
The Douglas County School District (DCSD) is the 17th largest school district in Georgia, serving over 26,000 students and employing more than 3,000 staff. The district's primary goal is to ensure the safety of its students and employees. This Invitation to Bid (ITB) seeks qualified firms to conduct bi-annual inspections of generators as part of their preventative maintenance program. The contract aims to ensure that the power generation systems are functioning optimally across various school facilities.

Work Details
The awarded contractor will perform bi-annual inspections of a total of 26 generators located at various schools within the DCSD. Each generator will undergo two scheduled inspections per fiscal year: one in September and another in March. Inspections must be scheduled at least three days in advance with the Facilities Director, Randy Massey. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the inspections.

All equipment used must be new; used or refurbished equipment will not be accepted. Respondents must include a written Scope of Work detailing their plan to implement and manage this service contract according to DCSD specifications and industry best practices.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on July 1, 2025, and conclude on June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Inspections will take place at various locations within the Douglas County School District in Georgia, including but not limited to Alexander High School, Annette Winn Elementary School, Arbor Station Elementary School, Bill Arp Elementary School, Chapel Hill Elementary School, and others as specified in Exhibit A.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must be licensed and registered to do business in Georgia and provide proof of registration with their bid submission. They must also demonstrate a minimum of five years' experience in similar projects, preferably with public school systems. All services must be performed by direct employees or principals of the firm; subcontracting is allowed only with prior approval from DCSD.

Respondents are required to submit proof of liability insurance as specified in the insurance requirements section.
