DBHDD-038C & DBHDD-038E (DP) East Central Regional Hospital Renovations

Background
The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), acting as the Owner, is seeking firms to provide Design Professional Services for two renovation projects at the East Central Regional Hospital (ECRH) campuses in Augusta and Gracewood, Georgia.

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) oversees these facilities, which serve individuals with severe mental illness and developmental disabilities. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facilities through comprehensive renovations that meet modern standards and improve service delivery.

Work Details
The contract involves providing design professional services for renovations at two campuses: DBHDD-038C (Augusta Campus) and DBHDD-038E (Gracewood Campus).

The scope includes interior upgrades such as mechanical/HVAC systems, plumbing, flooring, lighting, carpentry, painting, site work, and paving to ensure ADA compliance. Specific buildings targeted for renovation include various ECSH-A buildings on the Augusta campus (1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 19, 201, and Building 202) and ECSH-G buildings on the Gracewood campus (15, 76, 103A-D, 5, and 8).

All designs must comply with The Joint Commission standards.

Period of Performance
The Design Professional's services are expected to commence in February 2025 following the selection process which concludes on January 7, 2025.

The overall project schedule includes milestones for design completion and construction start dates that are yet to be determined but are anticipated within the year following the commencement of services.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at two locations: East Central Regional Hospital Augusta Campus and East Central Regional Hospital Gracewood Campus in Augusta, Georgia.
