Description

ADVERTISEMENT FOR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS NOTICE TO PROPOSER: Rockdale County Public Schools invites vendors to submit a proposal to provide custodial services. Outstanding solicitations may be viewed at: https://rockdaleschools.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities. If you are unable to download these documents, you may contact the assigned procurement officer: Marki Dixon at (770)860-4295or mdixon@rockdale.k12.ga.us. A pre-proposal conference will be held on April 07, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., ET at Rockdale County Public Schools Conference Room C-2, at 960 Pine Street Conyers, Georgia, 30012. Online submittal instructions can be viewed at the following location online: https://rockdaleschools.bonfirehub.com/opportunities/180123. Proposals shall be submitted online at https://rockdaleschools.bonfirehub.com/opportunities/180123. The Office of Purchasing and Warehouse Operations Services will only accept bids submitted online. Proposal submissions are due no later than 11:00 a.m., ET April 21, 2025 (as determined by the time stamp clock when submitted online). RCPS will only accept online submissions for this RFP. Proposals can be submitted online at: https://rockdaleschools.bonfirehub.com/opportunities/180123. Bids submitted after the bid close date will not be accepted. Note: Any proposal submitted in any other format (email, paper, fax, mail, etc.) will not be accepted for any reason.
Background
Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) is seeking proposals from vendors to provide custodial services. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all school facilities are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, supporting the educational environment and health of students and staff.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for comprehensive custodial services across various locations within the school district. Specific tasks include:

- Cleaning and buffing floors in office areas, clinics, auditoriums, hallways, restrooms, classrooms, cafeterias, libraries, and gym/multi-purpose rooms.
- Ensuring that all surfaces such as doors, windows, and vents are clean.
- Maintaining restrooms to be odor-free with clean fixtures.
- Managing trash receptacles.
- Organizing custodial supply carts.
- Ensuring that all equipment is clean and maintained.

The performance will be evaluated using a Custodial Inspection Form that scores cleanliness on a scale from 'Needs Improvement' to 'Outstanding' across multiple categories including floors, restrooms, classrooms, and exterior areas.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue for an initial term of one year with potential extensions based on performance.

Place of Performance
The custodial services will be performed at various locations within Rockdale County Public Schools in Conyers, Georgia.
