Crews MS - HVAC Modifications

Background
The Gwinnett County Board of Education is seeking sealed bids for the construction of HVAC modifications at Crews Middle School located at 1000 Old Snellville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the HVAC system within the school to ensure a comfortable and efficient environment for students and staff.

Work Details
The contract involves construction work specifically focused on HVAC modifications at Crews Middle School.
Bidders are required to obtain bid documents from the Architect, Hussey Gay Bell.
The contract will be awarded on a stipulated sum basis.
Bids must include a bid bond equal to 5% of the base bid, and successful bidders will need to provide performance and labor/material payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract sum.
Subcontractors in various trades (Fire Proofing, Mechanical/HVAC, Plumbing, Sprinkler, Electrical, and Roofing) must also provide bonds for their respective work.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held for bidders to attend; failure to do so will result in disqualification.
The contractor must mobilize within ten days of receiving a Notice to Proceed.

Period of Performance
The work is scheduled to start on May 22, 2025, with substantial completion required by July 21, 2025.
