CP Jones County High School Renovations

Background
The Jones County School District (JCSD) is seeking proposals from construction professionals for renovations at Jones County High School located in Gray, Georgia. The goal of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to identify qualified firms that can provide construction professional services to enhance the school's facilities. The project aims to improve educational environments and support the district's mission of providing quality education.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Construction of a new Ag Mechanics Lab;
2) Construction of a new Small Animal Science Barn;
3) Installation of kitchen epoxy flooring;
4) Improvement of cross country fencing;
5) Development of a cross country water well and well house, including testing and power supply;
6) Replacement of flooring in the weight room.

The preliminary budget for the project is set at $3,000,000, subject to adjustments based on funding availability and programmatic requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeline established by the Owner, with significant milestones outlined in the RFP schedule.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Jones County High School, located at 339 Railroad Street, Gray, Georgia 31032.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have valid licenses to operate in Georgia, provide proof of bonding capacity, maintain liability insurance with specified coverage limits, demonstrate financial stability with a current ratio of 1.0 or higher, and show a commitment to safety through an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 1.2 or less over the past three years. Additionally, bidders must comply with immigration laws as per O.C.G.A § 13-10-91.
