Background
Coweta County, Georgia is seeking competitive bids from Licensed General Contractors for the construction of two fire stations as part of its mission to enhance public safety and emergency response capabilities.

The project includes Fire Station #5 located on Belk Road near Smokey Road in Newnan, Georgia, and Fire Station #10 situated on GA-16 between Tinsley Way and Crook Road in Senoia, Georgia. The project architect is Gardner Spencer Smith Tench & Jarbeau, Architects PC.

Work Details
The contract involves the construction of two fire stations: Fire Station #5 and Fire Station #10.

Bidders must comply with the Illegal Immigration Reform and Enforcement Act of 2011, verify employee work eligibility, and submit a fully executed Contractor's Qualification Statement (AIA Document A305). Bids must include a Bid Bond (AIA Document A310) amounting to 5% of the proposed contract sum. Payment and Performance Bonds (AIA Document A312) are required at 100% of the contract sum.

Bidders must attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on November 22, 2024, and submit all bids in a sealed envelope by December 16, 2024. Requests for product substitutions must be submitted by December 9, 2024.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to follow a schedule that aligns with the construction timeline set forth by the County and Architect.
