Construction of Basic Training Building

Background
The Georgia Basic Training Division of The Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) is soliciting bids for the construction of a new Basic Training Division Building. This project aims to enhance the training capabilities of the GPSTC, which is responsible for providing training to law enforcement and public safety personnel in Georgia.

The building will serve as a facility for basic training programs and will be located at 1000 Indian Springs Drive, Forsyth, Georgia.

Work Details
The contract includes comprehensive construction services as outlined in various divisions and sections of the specifications. Key components include:
- **Division 03 - Concrete**: Cast-in-place concrete work.
- **Division 04 - Masonry**: Unit masonry work.
- **Division 05 - Metals**: Structural steel framing, steel joist framing, steel decking, and pipe and tube railings.
- **Division 06 - Wood, Plastics and Composites**: Miscellaneous rough carpentry, exterior sheathing, and wood-veneer-faced architectural cabinets.
- **Division 07 - Thermal and Moisture Protection**: Under slab vapor barriers, bituminous dampproofing, thermal insulation, weather barriers, formed metal wall panels, TPO roofing, and joint sealants.
- **Division 08 - Openings**: Hollow metal doors and frames, flush wood doors, sound control steel door assemblies, aluminum-framed entrances and storefronts.
- **Division 09 - Finishes**: Non-structural metal framing, gypsum board installation, tiling, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient flooring options including sheet flooring and tile carpeting.
- **Division 10 - Specialties**: Stainless steel toilet compartments and shower compartments; fire extinguisher cabinets.
- **Divisions 21 to 23**: Fire protection systems including wet pipe sprinkler systems; plumbing fixtures; HVAC systems including ductwork insulation and packaged air conditioning units.

Additionally, the project includes site work such as earthwork for site clearing and erosion control measures.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be specified in the final agreement but is expected to align with typical construction timelines for similar projects.

Bidder Requirements
