Cochran St, Rosehill St, Line St, Walker St, Cemetery St, Wilson St Milling and Paving

Background
The City of Austell, Georgia, is seeking qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for milling and paving various streets including Cochran St., Rosehill St., Line St., Walker St., Cemetery St. (A&B), and Wilson St. (A&B).
The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure of the city by resurfacing these roads, ensuring they meet safety and usability standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for milling and paving the following streets:
- Cochran Street: 237’ x 20’, milled and paved 2” deep with 12.5 mill.
- Rosehill Street: 329’ x 19’, milled and paved 2” deep with 12.5 mill.
- Line Street: 236’ x 19’, milled and paved 2” deep with 12.5 mill.
- Walker Street: 300’ x 20’, milled and paved 2” deep with 12.5 mill.
- Cemetery Street (A): 295’ x 21’, milled and paved 2” deep with 12.5 mill.
- Cemetery Street (B): 350’ x 24’, milled and paved 2” deep with 12.5 mill.
- Wilson Street (A): 220’ x 19’, milled and paved 2” deep with 12.5 mill.
- Wilson Street (B): 391’ x 27’, milled and paved 2” deep with 12.5 mill.

Additional requirements include:
- Millings must be hauled off by the contractor.
- Paving will be straight up the road, not onto any intersecting roads.
- Contractor should mill around utilities, ensuring manholes/utility covers are flush with asphalt.
- Striping is not included in this bid, and a lump sum bid is requested.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence immediately upon award, anticipated by September 9, 2024, with completion required by September 23, 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on Cochran St., Rosehill St., Line St., Walker St., Cemetery St., and Wilson St. within the City of Austell, Georgia.
