City of Stone Mountain - FY 2025 CITY PARKING LOT PROJECT & FENCING PROJECT

Background
The City of Stone Mountain is issuing a solicitation for competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the FY 2025 City Hall Parking Lot Project and Fencing Project. The goal of this project is to enhance the parking facilities at City Hall by adding a new parking lot and installing security fencing. This aims to improve accessibility and security for visitors and staff at City Hall.

Work Details
The work required under this contract includes:

- Installation of approximately 350 linear feet of security fencing with a 24-foot wide remote access gate around the existing parking lot at the rear of City Hall.
- Grading, stormwater management systems, paving, and related work to create an additional 30-space parking lot to the south of City Hall.

Specific tasks include site clearing, erosion and sedimentation control, excavation support, chain link fencing installation, soil preparation, turf establishment, and storm utility drainage piping. The contractor must provide all necessary materials and labor to complete the project as per the specifications outlined in the bid documents.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days from the date of notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the City Hall located at 875 Main Street, Stone Mountain, Georgia 30083.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the City of Stone Mountain for this project to receive notifications regarding any addenda. All bids must include a Bid Bond or certified check equal to 5% of the total bid amount. Successful bidders are required to furnish performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the total bid amount. Additionally, bidders must comply with insurance requirements as specified in the contract documents.
