City of Sparta Sewer System Rehabilitation: Contract 1 - Pump Station Replacements

Background
The City of Sparta, Georgia is issuing a solicitation for the Sparta Sewer System Rehabilitation: Contract 1 - Pump Station Replacements project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the sewer system infrastructure by replacing outdated pump stations, thereby improving the overall efficiency and reliability of the sewer system.

Work Details
The project consists of the following major elements:

- Replacement of three sewer lift stations, which includes removal of existing equipment.
- Installation of new equipment and electrical work.
- Site improvements, installation of six (6) manholes, and replacement of two (2) air release/vacuum valves.

Period of Performance
The time for completion for all work associated with this project shall be one hundred eighty (180) consecutive calendar days from the date of a written Notice to Proceed from the OWNER.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in the City of Sparta, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond or certified cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid at the time of bid opening. The successful bidder will also need to furnish insurance, Workman's Compensation Insurance, and Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid. Compliance with federal requirements such as participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), EEO, Davis-Bacon Wage Rates, and adherence to the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act is required.
