City of Port Wentworth - Anchor Park Phase 2 (Soccer Fields, Stadium, and Concession)

Background
The City of Port Wentworth, Georgia is issuing a solicitation for the construction of Anchor Park Phase 2, which includes the development of soccer fields, a stadium, and concession facilities. Work Details
The work involves constructing a 1,600-sf concession and toilet building, a 1,730-sf team room building, and bleacher and shade structures with foundations. The project also includes architectural finishes, HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical systems as specified in the project manual prepared by JLG Architects. Additionally, civil/site work will encompass clearing, grubbing, paving, grading, drainage installation, field construction, site utilities installation, and landscaping as detailed in the plans prepared by Thomas & Hutton. All construction activities must comply with the contract documents and plans.

Period of Performance
The substantial completion date for this contract is set for 180 days after the Notice to Proceed is issued. The Notice to Proceed will be issued within 60 days of awarding the contract.

The construction will take place at Anchor Park located on Highway 30 in Port Wentworth, GA 31407.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference scheduled for August 15, 2025. Proposals will not be accepted from firms that do not attend this meeting. Bidders are required to submit a bid bond of at least five percent (5%) of their total bid amount. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of insurance with minimum coverage limits specified in the solicitation documents.
